Critic Reviews for PingPong

Repetto and Nicita shine in their debut film. The emotions of both shine through like moss on a Mississippi tree stump. Simply fantastic, shaky filming and all. 100/100

You think I'm playin'?! This one is hardly even up for debate, an instant classic and a perfect first installment in what will be an EPIC trilogy. No question: 100/100

Now I may be criticized for this one, but the PingPong films have never been my cup of tea. The movie suffered from a long ping pong match which dragged it out beyond belief. I did enjoy the SLow-Mo and dancing though, which were great. Sadly this does not make up for a weak story line.  Even though I am aware of the pictures MANY flaws, I do see why the magical quality of it would make many say it's the best sports film of all time! 89/100

PingPong is the first in the *soon to be* trilogy. It features a pompous, Jaden Nicita in his youth going against Quin Repetto  before his tragic accident a few months later. The movie seems to have no clear vision in mind, but, to take a page out of the well known Matpat "This was thought to be a one time thing, there was no clear sighting of a second or even third (movie)." Overall, the movie, having no clear motivation or sequel at the time, was a bit underwhelming, frankly, I'm slightly disappointed with how 42nd Studios presented this film. I hope they can tie it up very nicely with Pingpong 3: Return of the Paddle. 78/100
